Summer may be behind us, but the need to help vulnerable kittens hasn’t disappeared with it. Rescues are still caring for tiny arrivals who need patient hands, full bellies, and a safe place to grow.
At Furry Friends LA, two little black kittens named Nancy and Drew are an adorable reminder that kitten season isn’t over. They recently joined the unboxing of the rescue’s latest iHeartCats shipment, exploring a sea of bright red blankets beside bags of kitten formula and newborn nursing bottles.
Those little paws have no idea how many people helped bring these supplies to their rescue. But behind the boxes is a community of iHeartCats Hero VIP Club members and supporters making sure kittens continue to receive help long after summer ends.
Nancy and Drew Inspect a Delivery Full of Care
With their dark coats standing out against the red blankets, Nancy and Drew make quite the welcoming committee. In the photos and video shared by Furry Friends LA, the kittens investigate their surroundings while boxes bearing the iHeartCats logo tower behind them.
The latest shipment included blankets, kitten formula, feeding syringes and nipples, and newborn nursing bottles. For the kittens, the blankets offer a soft place to explore. For their caregivers, the delivery means essential supplies are on hand for the demanding work of caring for young kittens.
It’s a sweet scene with a serious purpose. Every item helps equip the people who show up for kittens when they need them most.
A Purrfect Start Does Not End With Summer
Spring and summer may be when kitten season is at its peak, but it can continue well into fall, especially in warmer climates. Through the iHeartCats Purrfect Start Program, supporters help provide feeding supplies and blankets for vulnerable kittens. Newborns without a mother need frequent feedings, warmth, and close monitoring, making supplies an essential part of their care.
Readers recently followed another group of Furry Friends LA kittens from their earliest weeks toward adoption readiness. Rescued after arriving at a shelter at just one day old, those babies grew from helpless newborns into playful kittens with futures ahead of them.
Nancy and Drew now help put two more little faces to the continuing need. One group’s progress is something to celebrate, but rescues still need support for the kittens in their care and those who arrive next.
Hero VIP Club Members Keep the Support Coming
Caring for kittens takes commitment every day. Caregivers keep feeding, cleaning, watching, and comforting them as the seasons change. Having supplies available helps them keep doing that work.
Thanks to iHeartCats Hero VIP Club members, shoppers, and donors, we can continue supporting rescues like Furry Friends LA. Deliveries like this help ease the cost of essential supplies, leaving more rescue resources available for other needs.
Nancy and Drew’s blanket exploration is a small, joyful moment made possible by that shared commitment. To everyone who helped fill these boxes, thank you. Your kindness has reached a rescue where little paws are already putting it to good use.
