Ruby and Max are tiny ginger kittens who found themselves alone beneath a house. When their mom didn’t come back, their cries of distress alerted the homeowner. Thankfully, the person knew just where to turn, bringing the babies to Best Friends Animal Rescue of Northwest Arkansas.

Best Friends turned to Paws of Oz for help fostering the small kittens as they needed a skilled foster who could help them grow strong for a forever home. Holly Brookhouser, head of Paws of Oz and foster mom told Love Meow, “They needed a bottle feeder, so I took them in. I couldn’t say no.”

One glance at these adorable kittens and no one could say no!

Max and Ruby, Spoiled and Loved

Judging by the cute pics on Paws of Oz Instagram feed, seems like no one in the Brookhouser family could resist Ruby and Max.

Zaki the cat was “sure curious about the “mini-me’s” that have invaded his room!”

Rigby, though a handsome tabby gentleman, was “officially in mom mode and loving it!”

And the cats weren’t the only one who found Max and Ruby just too cute!

Holly shared what she called, “My absolute favorite foster scenarios in one shot- senior dogs and orphaned kittens.” Senior dog Jack doesn’t seem to mind kitten shenanigans either!

Mini the dog also enjoyed some cuddles, “but she draws the line at ear licking!”

Holly also explained, “All my fosters get loads of love and attention but these 2 have been in my room, by my side, since the first day. They now sleep with us and I can’t stand how cute it is to see them cuddled by my husband in the middle of the night!”

“Max and Ruby have got to be the most spoiled babies I’ve had!”

Bonded Siblings

Max and Ruby are more than siblings. The two have grown into a bonded pair who loved to adventure their foster home together. With all the exploring and tussling, the orange duo entertained everyone in the house and no one could resist when the ginger babies would curl up together and purr themselves to sleep.

And the best news of all?

It didn’t take long for the brother sister duo to catch the eye of their forever family. Following the pair’s antics on social media, they knew Ruby and Max were meant to be part of their family. They’ve now settled in and are living their happily, ever after.

Another wonder tale of adoption!
