Imgur user BatteryLowShutDown (BLSD) does not have dogs or cats of her own due to her landlord’s no-pets policy. So when a friend announced that she needed a sitter for her cat, Tia, BLSD jumped at the chance!

Tia’s owner headed off for a three week holiday. During her absence, BLSD was finally able to experience the joys of being a proper cat lady. Hopefully, she remembered to invest in a lint roller!

Miss Tia is a robust gal with tabby and white markings, a brick nose, and extravagantly long whiskers.

Although Tia surely missed her human, she quickly learned that this new human wasn’t so bad, either. BLSD adhered to her approved feeding schedule and was pretty talented in the neck scratch department!

In exchange, Tia “purred loudly, gave excellent head butts, and demanded my attention, as cats do.”

Sadly, all good things must come to an end. After their three weeks were up, Tia returned to her primary human and BLSD returned to her empty, kitty-less existence.

“I feel lost,” BLSD said on the day Tia’s owner arrived home. “I’ve received more love from this cat in 3 weeks than I have in the last 3 years combined.”

Now that she has had a taste of the cat life, maybe BLSD will seek out a more relaxed living arrangement where she can have a kitty of her own. Until then, the memories of her three weeks with Tia will have to sustain her.

“Thanks Tia for the best few weeks I’ve had in a really long time,” she said. “I’ll miss your daily snuggles.”
