Sweet kitten Virgil was trying to make it all alone after someone dumped him at a cattle farm. This poor little guy ate cow pies to survive! No kitten deserves a life of loneliness and literal crappy food. That’s why groups like Few Steps From Home Animal Rescue work hard every day to save felines like young Virgil from dire circumstances.

But the rescuing couldn’t happen without you, cat lover! When you shop with iHeartCats, every single purchase funds donations for felines in need. Whether you purchase a cute cat shirt for yourself or supplements for your cat, that cart full of goodies gives compassion. Through our partnership with Greater Good Charities, we ensure shelter cats receive food and other necessities while waiting for their forever home.

From Gross to Good!

To date, the GOODS Program has delivered over 578 million meals to shelters and rescues nationwide. That’s more than 6,000 truckloads delivered to hungry animals! And Virgil is sure happy Few Steps From Home receives the tasty deliveries. Let him tell you how your help makes his tummy happy.

“Someone dumped me in a cow pasture, and I was forced to eat cow pies,” said Virgil, the kitten. “I weighed only 3.5 pounds. The nice ladies at Few Steps From Home took me in and made sure I got good food to eat. No more “cow pies” for me. Teehee!!”

But it’s not just about the food; the GOODS Program also ensures rescues and shelters receive other vital necessities, toys included. And when kittens have toys to play with and good food to eat while in rescue and foster care, they learn how to be happy and loving cats for their forever home.

And Virgil appreciates the fun he’s having in foster care, saying, “Thank you, Hartz, for the new toys.”

“I love the new toys! They are all mine, I don’t like to share, but I’m working on it,” the good boy admitted.

Foster to Forever

For Virgil, there’s no more cow pies and no more going it alone. His foster mom, Nina, has shown him what the good life looks like. He suspects they’ve got forever in their future, sharing, “Something tells me that my Nina is going to be my mama from now on!!”

Virgil’s happy ending is one more amazing example of what working together can do, and Few Steps From Home appreciates every purchase, donation, toy, and bowl of food.

“Thank you, Hartz and GOODS, for donating such fun toys for our kitties,” said Few Steps From Home. “They deserve the best, and we are happy to provide them to our angels.”

So, keep shopping and keep funding forevers for felines like Virgil. Every purchase does good!
