What is kitten season?
Kitten season is the time of year when cats give birth, flooding animal shelters and rescue groups across the nation with homeless litters. Since heat cycles in cats are regulated by the weather, there is an outpouring of pregnant cats at the same time. So during the spring and summer months, shelters are busy because of all the kittens that arrive each day.
Since it’s kitten season, and kittens are everywhere, people are encouraged to help out and adopt these poor babies.
