When thinking of the words ‘cute’ or ‘adorable,’ babies and kittens often come to mind. Combine the two, and you get an overload of cuteness, as demonstrated in the heartwarming video below.
Meet Noah, the charming baby featured in the video. Noah lives with his parents, Roza and her husband, in the UAE. Roza, originally from Sweden, traveled to the UAE in March 2020 to visit her husband for two weeks. However, due to the pandemic, her plans changed, and she found herself unable to return to Sweden. Consequently, she has been residing in the UAE with her family ever since.
During the initial phase of the pandemic, Roza began her journey of rescuing kittens. Discovering a lack of local rescue organizations for cats, she took matters into her own hands. Roza started with TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) operations, which involve catching, spaying or neutering, and then releasing cats back to their original locations.
In the summer of 2020, Roza took in her first orphaned kitten. Since then, she has independently rescued over 200 cats and kittens. After nurturing them, she seeks loving homes for these felines. Roza’s focus is primarily on orphaned neonatal kittens and the most vulnerable ones, as she is well-versed in their specific needs, such as tube feeding and administering injections. Her dedication ensures that these kittens, who might otherwise be left to perish on the streets, are given a chance at life.
Roza shares her rescue journey on her Instagram account, the_street_kittens, which is filled with photos and videos of Noah and the rescued cats. “During this time I’ve also had a baby, Noah, who is literally being raised by kittens. I strongly believe in the benefits of animals and babies interacting early in life so you’ll see a lot of kittens and Noah videos,” Roza posted.
Unlike some new parents who might hesitate to let their babies interact with rescue animals, Roza encourages the bond between Noah and the kittens. In the video, Noah gazes adorably at a kitten with his big, round eyes. Even though he can’t yet move his arms to touch the kitten, his interest is evident.
The video features eight cats, all of whom interact with Noah. He particularly enjoys petting Tilly, one of the resident kittens. Sometimes, Noah lies down comfortably next to the cats, simply staring at them, while at other times, he sits up, playing and giggling with them. The kittens, in turn, seem to enjoy playing with Noah. One scene shows a kitten jumping in and out of a big piece of paper that Noah is holding, causing him to laugh with delight.
Throughout the video, it’s clear that Noah adores his furry friends. It’s heartwarming to see their interactions and to know that Noah is growing up with a deep love and appreciation for animals.
We commend Roza for her dedication to rescuing stray cats and hope that other parents are inspired to introduce their children to rescue animals, fostering a lifelong love for these creatures.
