In Parlier, California, an unlikely hero emerged during the rescue of a kitten: a burrito!

Officers Jimenez and Corona of the Parlier Police Department received a call about a kitten trapped in a drainage pipe. When they arrived on the scene, they found the tiny stray stranded deep in the dark pipe.

Though the officers “got a little dirty” trying to retrieve the kitten, the fluffball was too far into the pipe for them to reach it.

That’s when the officers had an idea. According to the police department’s Facebook post, they had a “partially eaten” burrito on hand, and decided to tempt the furry baby with its deliciousness. Luckily the little kitten was hungry, and they were finally able to coax it out!

That’s not the end of this story, though. This little sweetheart is safe and sound with Parlier Animal Control, but once it’s up for adoption, Officer Corona wants to make it part of his family. The kitten will then be appropriately named Burrito.

Looks like these two were meant to be!
