Thanks to a community of animal lovers, Cleo the calico cat has finally been reunited with her human Mom after six long years!

Last fall, a calico cat was found in Brockville, Ontario. Luckily, Stuck in the Mud Animal Rescue took her in and nursed her back to health. When they took her to a vet, they noticed a faded tattoo on her ear which indicates that she had already been spayed. That could only mean one thing: this cat must be owned by someone who might have lost her!

The founder of the rescue organization, Betty Jean Matthews, helped in tracking down the owner through tracing the identification number to a spay and neuter clinic in Edmonton, a city in Alberta, Canada. They found out that this poor kitty had been spayed in 2009. With the information they gathered, they were able to finally reach the owner and sent pictures of the found cat. From the moment Amanda Graham saw those pictures, she knew it was Cleo her lost cat. The organization then started gathering resources by raising funds for the volunteer’s ticket to accompany Cleo in returning her to her long-lost owner. Watch the emotional reunion of these two! This really had me in tears…

Special thanks to those kindhearted people who are the very reason that Cleo and Amanda are together again! 🙂 Share this heartwarming story with your friends who love happy endings! 😀
