Kitty Waving His Paws, Imitating the Beckoning Cat

I’m pretty sure all of you know what a beckoning cat is, right? Well for those who don’t know, the maneki-neko (Japanese for beckoning cat) is a common Japanese ceramic or plastic figurine of a cat with a beckoning paw. It is powered by either electricity or batteries and it is believed to bring good luck to its owner. The beckoning cat is often seen in places of business such as shops and restaurants.

In the video below, you will see an adorable cat who’s trying to imitate a beckoning cat. His name is Taro, and whenever he wants attention, he waves his paws in the air. Taro wasn’t trained to do this, he just figured it out on his own. Check out the video below!

Awwww…isn’t he cute? With his waving paws, I think Taro is a master when it comes to begging!
