Good Food to Lift Her Spirits

Through our partnership with Greater Good Charities, we ensure shelter cats receive food and other necessities while waiting for their forever homes. To date, the GOODS Program has delivered over 578 million meals to shelters and rescues nationwide. That’s more than 6,000 truckloads delivered to hungry animals!

And it was these food donations and the variety they provided that got Ellie back to being a royally happy feline after circumstances separated her and her elderly family member. For the Love of Cats shared that poor Ellie was out of sorts when she “didn’t know what was going on and where her human went.”

“She was depressed and not eating.” But now, the rescue shared, “Ellie is doing much better in a foster home where she can be the queen.”

Just like a kitty queen, Ellie first proved to be a “fussy eater.”

“She would only eat Friskies shreds. Now she says nope,” For the Love of Cats said. “We recently received a pallet of Friskies Farm chicken and carrot, and she chomped down the entire can.”
