We often see free-roaming cats in big cities, small towns, rural areas and suburban neighborhoods around the world. Some of them were allowed to spend time outdoors but also spend time indoors with their families. Others are well-fed but can only live outdoors. There are also some who have gone feral or stray. Nevertheless, these kitties (may it be stray, feral or owned) still depend on us for their health and safety.

These kindhearted fishermen have made friends with the local strays, befriending them on a beautiful island in Japan. And they even give their first catch of the day to these hungry felines! Since then, these free kitties have become part of their family. Though they are everywhere, the fishermen still feed them, keep them healthy, and get them spayed/neutered.

The residents enjoy the presence of these kitties especially when they watch the sunset together with their furry friends!

Share this amazing story to any cat lover, I’m sure they’d be just as kind as these fishermen are to the sweet stray cats 🙂
