Now newly-engaged, couple Sara Nozaki and Grant Olson were on the search for a cat to live with them in their New York City apartment. That’s when fate stepped in.

“I looked at adoption agencies and such. Meanwhile, Grant was casually browsing the New York City subreddit, where he found a post with Wilbur’s picture saying, ‘does this cat belong to anyone?'” explained Sara to Love Meow.

She continued, “In the post, the redditor (now our friend Emma) explained that they had found Wilbur in her backyard in Brooklyn. Grant half jokingly commented, ‘hey, if you can’t find his owner, I might be willing to take him’, and two days later she contacted him saying the cat wasn’t neutered or microchipped so he might be a stray…”

It wasn’t long before Sara and Grant adopted Wilbur into their lives. But little did they know that the grey tabby had a few tricks up his sleeve–er–paw.

The couple noticed that sometimes, Wilbur sits like a human!

They’re not sure if the kitty’s crouch is due to his spine being extra-long or his legs being extra-short. But one thing’s for sure–he’s adorable!

Sara and Grant discovered one more impressive talent: Wilbur is also a fetching feline.
