One of the special things about cats is that every single one of them is unique, and the silly kitty in this story is no exception!

Sigmund was 3 years old when he found himself in the Cat Haven WA shelter in Shenton Park, Western Australia. But despite being homeless, this spirited cat wasn’t afraid to show his true colors soon after being taken into their care.

Lovingly described as a “nutter” on the shelter’s Facebook page, Sigmund’s caretakers noticed that the feline has an affinity for licking windows and walls!

Cat Have WA wrote on Facebook:

Sigmund is getting up to some odd tactics to try and find his new owners…turns out you won’t just adopt a cat, but you’ll get a window washer as well!

The kitty’s hilarious habit got him lots of attention, and photos of him even went viral on social media!

It’s hard to believe that anyone could resist this humorous boy, and unsurprisingly, he found his forever family! After settling into his new home, his loving humans sent an update, which the shelter posted on Facebook:

Sigmund is quite nervy and highly strung. He loves to look out windows, lick walls and windows and play with a ball of wool and my son. He has a very high vertical leap, spins in the air and somersaults…He is very curious and is always in cupboards and tosses out glasses etc. He’s a deep sleeper so cat naps are not his thing.”

Sweet Sigmund has enjoyed his new life for about two years now. We know he’ll spend the rest of his days with his favorite family, who must be smitten with this adorably goofy cat…

…Even if he is “as mad as a hatter”!
