Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have a large family, but they believe there’s always room for more. And with that thought in their minds and hearts, the Baldwins have adopted a new kitten. To celebrate, cat mom Hilaria took to Instagram to share the news and a cute video of her family enjoying their newest furry member.
Looking at the photos and a clip of the cute Bengal kitten getting spunky, it’s safe to say Cayetana Magdalena Baldwin has made herself at home with her parents, human siblings, and fellow fur siblings.
The sweet kitten is bringing some much-needed joy to the Baldwins after one of Cayetana’s cat brothers suffered a devastating injury. So, right now, the family is taking time just “being together.”
“Grateful” for Sweet Cats
The Baldwins adopted Cayetana from Bengals Embrace of Long Island, NY. The little girl joins big brothers Emilio and Antonio as one of the Baldwin family cats.
Hilaria shares that Cateyana Magdalena “fits right in with her brother cats with their pastry middle name (Emilio Cookie and Antonio Cupcake).”
The mom of six kids, two dogs, and three cats explained that Magdalena cookies are her favorite pastries from her youth. And like moms are want to do, she admits, “I got the baldwinitos hooked on them too.”
It also seems she’s got the kids hooked on loving cats.
In the video gallery she shared on Instagram, Cateyana looks like a welcome addition when times have been tough for the family. Hilaria counts herself “grateful” for their new kitten and older cats. Because of the “comfort and love” offered by the kitties, Hilaria feels “they are so therapeutic.”
Emilio Healing From “Awful” Injuries
When Hilaria introduced Cayetana, she also offered an update on Bengal cat Emilio’s condition. Just a few weeks ago, he went missing and turned up severely injured. In her update, Hilaria reported Emilio had been hit by a car while he was lost.
“It was awful,” shared Hilaria. “Some of his 9 lives down, he made it through with a burst bladder and broken leg. 4 blood transfusions later, 2 surgeries, including metal in his leg, he’s healing.”
She also said, “He’s pretty pissed off about the cone and being cooped up to limit his mobility, but we are grateful he is on the mend and to BluePearl animal hospital.”
Trying to move forward from a dark moment, the family and their new addition are “spending lots of time together.”
