In Charlotte, North Carolina, Page the cat was found after being tossed in a dumpster like a piece of trash. Luckily, the folks at Book Buyers discovered and appropriately named the feline, who was just a tiny kitten at the time. With a little coaxing, Page befriended the humans, and now the kitty calls the bookstore home.

However, customer service isn’t exactly her specialty.

Says Page – The Bookstore Cat’s Facebook page, “I help guard Book Buyers and love receiving your adoration (from afar).”

(Let’s be honest…this kind of instigation would make anyone cranky!)

Although Page isn’t the friendliest employee, customers, nonetheless, enjoy watching her antics. Take a look:

Just hangin’ around…

Cat-ching up on some reading.

…and napping.

She blends in quite nicely.

Special delivery!

She certainly knows how to command attention!

These lucky humans must be part of the favored few.

Looks like she’s living a bookworm’s dream!

Would you be more likely to visit a store with a cat?
