Part of each sale through the iHeartCats store is donated to Greater Good, which helps support various charities. Thanks to customers like you, happy endings, like the one below, are made possible.

At the time of rescue, Emmanuel was living in a home with not only his four siblings but a dozen other animals. He was malnourished, underweight, congested, and flea infested. Despite all this, Emmanuel was instantly friendly. He even graciously allowed Ferndale Cat Shelter to bathe him, comb his fleas off, and administer medication without so much as a hiss or a swipe.

Within just a few days of being in a clean environment and on a proper kitten diet, Emmanuel and his siblings began to flourish. Runny eyes gradually cleared and brightened, visible ribs became round little bellies, and dull fur transformed into soft, shiny coats. Emmanuel went from 3 pounds (considerably underweight for a 5-month-old kitten) to 5 pounds in only 3.5 weeks thanks to high-quality pet food donated by GreaterGood.org’s Rescue Bank. Today, Emmanuel was the first of his litter to “graduate” to his forever home. He was adopted by a loving family who is already spoiling him with all the scratching posts, catnip, toys, and love a kitty could want.

“Rescue Bank donations allow our organization to provide nutritious food and other cat comforts to the felines in our care. We can then focus our fundraising efforts on paying veterinary costs to vaccinate, neuter, and microchip all of the cats in our care.”
