This Adorable, Energetic Kitten With Missing Paws Won’t Let Anything Slow Her Down

Everyone, meet Alfie–a kitten who’s so playful and energetic despite of her missing two paws!

Alfie is only five-weeks-old, but she already has stolen the hearts of the staff at the Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control (FCACC). This little ball of energy is curious and playful; everybody just loves her! However, the people at the shelter don’t know exactly know what happened to Alfie and why she’s missing two paws.

According to their Facebook post, when they met Alfie she had bandages on both her back legs and they discovered that her back legs have no paw pads. One of the legs doesn’t have a paw and neither of her legs are formed correctly.

They were also advised that they may have to amputate both of Alfie’s back legs when she gets a little bit older.

For now, Alfie remains a playful little kitty. She’s moving around fine, and they say she doesn’t apppear to be in pain.
