Gambino Bambino is a sensation around the world thanks to his Southern drawl.

A post to TikTok by Gambino’s mom, Tawny, revealed the ginger tabby’s sugar-coated accent and the world can’t stop watching.

In the video, Gambino spies his mom with her camera and dashes out of view. As cat moms are wont to do, Tawny follows with the camera and catches him peering around the corner. Plain as day, Gambino looks to the camera and says, “Well, hi!”

Tawny’s “Southern gentleman” then licks his leg after the cute utterance, acting like Mr. Innocent.

And isn’t that just typical of a cat. Being a silly goose and running from a photo before finally being captured for either a blurry shot of fur and whisker or a hysterical moment. How many pictures and videos are deleted before the purr-fect shot is captured?

Tawny running after Gambino to catch him on video proves the struggle is real!

Gambino Chose His Family

Gambino turned up at Tawny’s backdoor in late 2014, choosing her household as his new residence and the people inside as his family.

Of the photo, Tawny said on Instagram, “My very first picture of Gambino boy! I walked to the back door and there he was just posted up like he already owned the place!”

She said her other cats weren’t happy about the new addition, but when a cat chooses, then matters are decided.

Even though Gambino sports a southern drawl, he hails from California where he and his brother run the family. Gambino’s brother is a tuxedo kitty by the name of Tom and, judging by Gambino’s Instagram, Tom sits for photos in a far more behaved manner.

The family also says “Thank you to everyone that has watched the video, commenters, liked, and followed!”

Those well-wishers love the dapper cat, many agreeing he stepped right out of the South. Some shared stories about their cats also speaking our human tongue. According to social media, cat lovers are saying their cats have said everything from ‘hello’ to ‘I love you’.

We believe it!

Cats are highly intelligent creatures that learn much about their world though well-tuned ears. Including the language of their human peasants…

It’s obvious Gambino and Tom are bright spots for Tawny and her family and they are so happy to share their kitty buddies with the world. “We love that his little meow has brought so much joy!”
