No matter how unfortunate the situation is, there are some animals that refuse to give up. Many people may resort to euthanizing their pets to end the suffering but sometimes, a miracle can happen…

Meet this miracle cat named Gülümser. Her name means “she who always smiles.” Unfortunately, her deformed face and head will show you just how much suffering this cat has gone through. She was found in Istanbul when she was four-weeks old. Apparently, worms ate her ear, tongue and lips when she was abandoned. She was on her deathbed when she was rescued but she showed her rescuers that she wasn’t done fighting yet. Incredibly, when many others would have given up on her, Gülümser was given the chance she deserved and she miraculously recovered thanks to the love and support of her rescuers. We love happy endings!

This cat’s fighting spirit is truly inspiring! And her unique appearance shows that you don’t need to be that classic form of “beauty” to be considered beautiful or to be happy. She is happy, healthy and thriving! I hope you are as inspired by this little one as much as we are!
