This preemie kitty is nothing short of a miracle. Meet Astaire, the kitten who was born half the size of an average kitten!

Normally, a newborn kitty weighs 3.05 oz, but in Astaire’s case, he was born 2 weeks early and weighed only 53 grams! Sadly, Astaire was the only survivor among his 5 siblings. No one really knew if he could really make it, but after a few weeks he proved that he had the spirit to survive!

With the help of his foster mom Jill, who syringe fed him, he started to slowly gaining weight and getting healthier.

As CATS Cradle Shelter says, “I cannot express enough how much work it is for Jill to keep these babies alive, but if anyone can do it…she can! She is an amazing foster who puts her life on hold every day to keep these little guys like Astaire alive.”

Isn’t it amazing how people like Jill give so much time and effort for a kitty like Astaire? The world needs more people like her!
