In Raleigh North Carolina a cat who has suffered from severe burns has become instant friends with a fawn. The cat’s name is Russell. He has been a patient at the Animal Emergency Hospital and Urgent Care Clinic in Raleigh, North Carolina, since early 2014. A fire burned down his home and Russell was left with severe burns. The clinic staff said that Russell’s burns were very bad, and they didn’t know if he would survive. But miraculously, he recovered. He has been having treatments for more than a year, but he’s doing good.

Now Russell has a new friend, a fawn named Darla. They snuggle and cuddle with each other. Watch the video below for the full story.

Awwww…they look so cute together, don’t they?

Russell has been the center of attention at the clinic, and he just loves it! The people at the clinic are thinking of keeping him as a mascot.
