After falling several feet from the pier into the freezing waters of Illichivsk, Ukraine, this poor cat took refuge in one of the most dangerous parts of the massive cargo ship, on its huge rudder. Luckily, a crew member from another ship heard his cries so the man quickly put on his survival suit and jumped into the water to rescue the poor kitty.

This kind man made sure that the cat gained his trust before he removed him from the rudder. As he swam to shore with the cat, he tried his best to swim as fast as he could so that the poor kitty will not suffer from the freezing waters. As he swam up the dock, another kind man reached over to grab the wet and shivering cat and placed him under his jacket to warm him up, close to his heart.

It’s a good thing that the sailor was able to hear the kitty crying, otherwise I can’t imagine what could have happened to the poor baby. Share this heartwarming video to show cat lovers everywhere that there are many kindhearted, altruistic and compassionate people around the world who will never hesitate to help one in need, be they human or animal! 🙂
