Mama Cat Takes In Baby Squirrel In Need Of A Mother’s Love–Just Precious!

| July 24, 2015

It’s true, the testament of a mother’s love is like no other. It doesn’t matter the species, because cats can amaze us with their level of caring and being there for the unlikeliest of animal babies. Thinking of a squirrel and a cat in close proximity may seem unrealistic with a cat’s strong hunting instincts. But what about a new mother cat and a helpless baby squirrel desperately in need of love? This entirely different circumstance can result in a truly heartwarming sight.

When Chris DaBets was out on a walk, he came across a poor little newborn squirrel that was all alone and afraid. He didn’t see any signs of the mother anywhere, and quickly called his wife to see if it would be alright to bring the little baby home. Shortly before this, their family cat, Missy, had given birth to a litter of 6 kittens. The husband and wife wondered if by some miracle their cat would care for the squirrel, so the wife held out the baby in her hands beside Missy, and what happened next was just beautiful!

Isn’t that just precious! What a wonderful mother Missy the cat is! I loved watching the kittens play with their squirrel brother. Share this sweet story with your friends who love cats just like you!
