Why Do Cats Stretch So Much?

Cats enjoy stretching for a number of reasons. The action helps them wake up from their many naps, getting blood pressure up and making them alert. Plus, stretching lengthens muscles and flushes toxins from the body. When a cat stretches in your presence, rejoice! It means the kitty feels safe and comfy with you.

But the best reason for stretching?

A nice, long stretch just feels so good!

Like a stretchy kitty, get comfy and scroll on to enjoy photos of cats who’ve gotten into the #longcat spirit.
