Cats are fond of getting themselves physically attached to their humans. When they get too comfortable at home that means they are already accustomed to the people around. So when a new member of the family is added, they tend to stay away and become aloof.
This is Moo who just met the new baby in the house. If you noticed at first, he stays away from the baby. Maybe he got curious, wondering, “Who’s this little child sitting on my Dad’s lap?”
