Left overnight in the parking lot of a local animal welfare organization, Big One was discovered alongside three other Persian cats. No one knows exactly how they ended up there, but rescuers believe the larger male may have been related to the younger cats. While their past remains a mystery, one thing is certain: their future changed the moment they were brought into the care of Philadelphia Urgent Rescue & Relief, Inc. (PURR). From that day forward, the rescue team made it their mission to help Big One heal and find the loving home he deserved.

A Sweet Companion Ready for a Fresh Start
Now around 9 to 10 months old, Big One has blossomed into an easygoing young cat with a loving personality. He thrives on human attention and is happiest when included in everyday family life. Whether relaxing beside his favorite people or quietly watching the world around him, he brings a peaceful presence wherever he goes.
Although he enjoys the company of other cats, Big One does not rely on having a feline friend. Early on, rescuers believed he shared a particularly close bond with another rescued cat named Little One. As both cats settled into foster care, however, it became clear that Little One was simply friendly with everyone. Big One has since shown that he can be perfectly happy living either with other welcoming cats or as the only pet in the home.
Like many Persian cats, Big One will need regular grooming to keep his luxurious coat healthy and comfortable. His adorable flat face also requires the extra care common to the breed. Big One was fully prepared for adoption after being neutered, vaccinated, flea-treated, dewormed, microchipped, and testing negative for FIV and FeLV. Unfortunately, despite emphasizing the importance of slow introductions with the resident cat, the cats were introduced face-to-face far too quickly.
The rushed meeting created unnecessary stress, and the relationship never had the chance to develop naturally. As a result, Big One was returned to the rescue, leaving him once again searching for the family that will truly understand his needs.
