Moving into a new house can be a big adventure—not just for people, but for their pets too. When a lovable black cat named Pooka got confused in her new surroundings, her owners came up with a brilliant idea to help her find them: they played a game of Marco Polo!

One day, while Pooka’s humans were busy measuring a room, they suddenly heard her meowing sadly. The curious kitty had been exploring the new house but ended up disoriented and couldn’t figure out where her mom and dad were. Instead of worrying, her owners decided to make it fun.

They began responding to her meows by calling out loudly, using phrases like the classic “Marco.” Each time Pooka cried out, they answered back, guiding her with their voices. Before long, the plan worked perfectly. Pooka found her way back to them and happily enjoyed some comforting scratches from her mom.

POV you moved from an apartment to a house and your cat keeps getting lost,” the woman shared in her social media post.

In the caption, she added, “She wanders off by herself then cries because she’s alone lol.”

The heartwarming and funny video quickly caught people’s attention, gathering over 14 million views. Many found the situation hilarious and couldn’t help but comment.

“Definitely not made for the streets,” one person joked.

Another said, “The audacity of going for a wander and then being like, ‘I can’t believe you left me?! How dare you!'”

A heavily pregnant calico cat was abandoned in a plastic bin bag, left to die alone and in agony. Tragically, the cat went into labor before she passed, but none of her kittens survived. Sign this petition to urge authorities to investigate this heartless act!

Even a month later, Pooka was still getting used to the new place. Her mom posted another amusing clip showing the cat meowing from another room, prompting them to play Marco Polo again. “A month later and Pooka is still high maintenance…” the cat owner wrote in her caption. “Who woulda thunk? (Answer: everyone who’s ever met her.)”

Here’s hoping that Pooka soon feels completely at home in her new surroundings!
