Darla the cat loves her dad. And proud cat dad Dan loves his girl. They’re best buddies who love snuggling and just being together. But when Dan has to leave town for work, Darla misses him so much! So, to help ease the heartache of being apart, Dan makes sure to talk with his darling kitty via camera when he’s gone, so the sweet girl knows her dad is always thinking of her.
Is it any surprise Darla loves her dad so much? Not at all, because lots of kitties prove to be Daddy’s Little Feline! And there’s nothing more appealing than a devoted cat dad.
Love From Afar Makes A Happy Kitty
Darla’s mom, Megan, shared a video of the special bond between her husband and their fluffy black cat on TikTok, and with 6.6 million views and almost 1.5 million likes, it’s safe to say viewers are smitten with Darla and Dan!

And we can see why! It’s just too cute watching Darla sprint to the camera when she hears her dad’s voice.
And once she perches on top of her tower, Dan greets his best buddy, telling her, “I miss you, Darla. My sweet baby girl. I love you so much. I miss you, and I’ll be home soon. OK?”
Darla is just darling as she looks over to Megan behind the camera because she’s so happy to hear her dad’s voice. She needed to be sure Mom heard him too!
And we dare you not to fall in love with this sweet duo when Dan tells Darla, “I’ll always come home to you; I love you so much.”
Don’t think Darla gets too lonely without her dad, though. Mom Megan also spoils Darla, ensuring the precious kitty gets plenty of snuggles and love. And because Darla can often be found with her paws in the air, Megan fulfills her belly rub needs. Plus, kitty sister Phoebe is always available for co-catting, too! But as Megan explained on Instagram, Darla and Dan are “the very best of friends.”
