After 5 Years Of Service, This Cat Earned A Promotion!

At the young age of just nine weeks, Felix the cat was hired at Huddersfield Railway Station in the UK to help alleviate a rodent infestation in 2011.

After five years of dedication to the job, this mouse-catching kitty has received the official title of Senior Pest Controller, earning her a uniform that’s complete with a name tag and reflective neon jacket.

As with most promotion-earners, Felix is also known for going above and beyond in the workplace, taking on tasks that exceed the Senior Pest Controller’s job description.

She has been known to fill in at the ticket counter…

Always happy to assist with passenger enquiries!

Lend a paw while checking tickets…

And even complete a little extra paperwork.

But most of all, Felix excels in her position: keeping railway patrons safe from rodents!

Power failure at Dewsbury means I’m having to keep the passengers amused.

This old pro has understandably become a favorite employee among commuters. And who could blame them? It looks like she’s got the “customer service” thing down cat–I mean, pat

…wonder how she gets paid?

Congrats on the promotion, Felix!
