Every cat has its own unique personality, but some seem to have an extra dose of charm and sass—Moxy is one of those special felines. Moxy, a 4-year-old tuxedo cat, was brought to Lollypop Farm, an animal shelter in Fairport, New York, back in May 2022. Since then, he’s been eagerly waiting for someone to take him to his forever home.

The shelter lovingly describes Moxy as “a handsome, larger gentleman with a fluffy coat and a penchant for mischief.” According to them, Moxy was surrendered because he played a bit too rough with his previous owners. Although he may seem shy at first, once he feels comfortable, he opens up in the most endearing ways.

“When he decides he loves you, he really, really loves you,” they shared. Moxy enjoys lounging on laps, getting cheek rubs, exploring his surroundings (once he’s comfortable), munching on cat grass, and, in true cat fashion, showing off his adorable little tongue.

Now that he’s settled into shelter life, Moxy craves attention from everyone who walks through the door. He’s got this intense way of staring through the window that seems to say, “Look at me!” And recently, he’s taken things up a notch with a hilarious new trick.

Instead of just staring at passersby, Moxy now performs an adorable “dance” whenever someone walks by his condo. He gets up on his hind legs, paws at the glass with his front paws, and starts swaying from side to side in a delightful groove. His little performance has been captured in a video shared by Lollypop Farm on TikTok, set to the tune of Abba’s “Dancing Queen.” The clip has gone viral, and everyone is hoping that Moxy’s newfound fame will catch the eye of the perfect adopter soon!

Moxy’s connection with people goes beyond just his dance moves. Lollypop Farm has also posted videos of him sprinting down the hall when someone calls his name. With his bushy tail pointing straight up and an eagerness for some love, it’s a sight too cute to handle!

Weighing in at 15 pounds, Moxy is searching for a cat-savvy home without children. If you’ve got a cozy window seat where he can indulge in some bird-watching, he’d be over the moon.

Sadly, this seems to have been a disturbing pattern that must be addressed. To protect future animals and provide him with the support he needs, he must be banned from ever owning animals again and undergo mandatory counseling.

Someone needs to give this charming boy a forever home! With his larger-than-life personality, we’re sure Moxy will bring a lot of joy to the right person. After all, who wouldn’t want a cat that dances for attention?
