9 Cat Breeds That LOVE To Chat

We all have cats, in part, because they are great companions. They can make an empty house a home in no time flat. But, if you are looking for a feline friend that will carry on a conversation with you, check out one of these nine chatty cat breeds.

#1 – Siamese

A popular breed because of their looks and amazing personality, the Siamese is also known for being loud “talkers.” They will not only have a conversation with you, but are happy to have a monologue while sitting in your lap.

#2 – Balinese

Just as affectionate at the Siamese, the Balinese likes to talk too, but in a softer voice. They have a slightly longer coat, so if you are looking for a long-haired conversationalist, this may be the cat for you.

#3 – Oriental

The Oriental wants to share your entire life with you. Whether you are brushing your teeth, eating, trying to tie your show – he will be right there. This includes having long conversations with you. And, with over 600 color combinations, you can definitely find one that “speaks” to you.

#4 – Tonkinese

This loving, adorable cat loves to talk – but only if he has something to say. When they do talk, they expect a response.

#5 – Burmese

The super soft luxurious coat of the Burmese is just the icing on the cake for this cat breed – whose beauty goes all the way to their affectionate heart. A good family cat (they tolerate kids well!) the Burmese likes company and enjoys a conversation if you ask him for one.

#6 – Singapura

This “perch cat” loves to be up high and that includes balancing on your shoulder! When they do talk to you, it will be in a nice, soft tone. This is a good cat to whisper your secrets to – he’ll whisper his right back.

#7 – Chartreux

The Charteux has a cute “robust” body and are known for being “chirpers” more than talkers. Sometimes it even seems like they are chirping to each other, as well as their owners, to whom they are very devoted.

#8 – Birman

A fluffy medium haired beauty with stunning blue eyes, the Birman is a great family cat. Respond to his mews, and he will become quite the talker.

#9 – American Curl

While not “overly talkative,” the American Curl will use trills and coos when they do have something to say. Their curious personality makes them a fun cat to own.
