We always say that we rescue our pets but sometimes, as you probably know, it’s really the pet that does the rescuing. This next story is a perfect example of this.
Michael Greenblatt is a celebrity fitness instructor who has helped keep a variety of celebs stay fit and healthy. And while he’s had had celebrities make plenty of impact on his life over the years, none have quite compared to his most recent trainee… A black cat named Roadrunner!
Michael would run daily and this little back cat began to show up at his home each morning. He says that Roadrunner began running with him, whether on the opposite side of the street or even right next to him! He asked veterinarians about cats running with their humans, but no one had ever heard of such a thing, yet here she was… running with him daily. Ironically, he had grown up with two black cats that he loved dearly and so it was quite fitting that Roadrunner chose Michael as her daddy.
He eventually went on to adopting her and then started training Roadrunner like he would any other client he would take on. Roadrunner has even increased her distance running time by 46 seconds! Michael says that if he’s too tired to run when he gets home or they have to miss their run for some other reason, Roadrunner seems upset… she just REALLY loves to run. She’s the only long-distant running cat in the world! Way to go, Roadrunner!

We love this story! To learn more about Roadrunner and Michael, you can find them on their website and their Facebook page.
