8 Ways To Turn A Box Into A The Ultimate Cat Gift

| Published on December 16, 2014

You don’t have to spend a lot on your kitty this year. In fact, if someone mails you a present, you don’t have to spend anything. You can just use the box in the following ways to make your kitty the best present ever.

#1 – Tunnel

Open up two ends of the box so your kitty can crawl through. They will love being able to go back and forth, or curl up inside and look out either end.

#2 – Cubby

Cut a hole just large enough for your cat to fit in, put in a nice comfy blanket and presto—your kitty has a nice, warm cubby to sleep in, or to keep watch on the household.

#3 – Toy Box

Add some toys to make the box a fun play area for your kitty. Sprinkle catnip to make it even more pleasing to kitty.

#4 – Multi-Levels

With a bigger, sturdier box, you can open one side, and leave the other closed, so your cat can either hide in the bottom, or relax on his “rooftop patio.” Perfect for sunny or stalking.

#5 – Open-air

For the kitty that doesn’t want tight spaces, you can open the box up to give her more space. This is also good if the box is too small for kitty.

#6 – Leave the Packing Material

If the material is cat safe, leave it in for your cat to enjoy. Many of them will like to roll around on the crinkly sound it makes.

#7 – Box in a Box

If you have more than one box, you can stack or nestle them, to give your cat more fun! If they are big enough, you can put small, closed boxes inside the big one to make platforms and steps.

#8 – Traditional

And, of course, if you’re lazy, you can just give your cat the box. He will love it even if you put no thought into it.
