Sometimes, unexpected encounters can lead to life-changing friendships. Karla wasn’t planning on getting a dog, but everything shifted the day she met Tessa.
After the passing of her friend’s mother, Karla went over to help clean the house. In the backyard, she spotted a four-month-old puppy named Tessa, chained up and alone.
Her heart melted for the sweet pup, and she instantly fell in love. Since Tessa’s family no longer wanted her, Karla decided to bring her home, vowing to give her a happy life.
Moving in with Karla felt like a new beginning for Tessa. She loved cuddling with her new mom and was thrilled to be in a caring environment.
When Karla took her to a dog park for the first time, Tessa couldn’t contain her excitement. She ran around joyfully and had a blast.
Brimming with energy, Tessa later started participating in dog sports and did exceptionally well.
She loved outdoor adventures with her parents. On one of their walks, Tessa and her family heard a tiny kitten crying for help.
They realized the kitten was stuck in some nearby bushes. Karla and her husband wanted to help but couldn’t figure out exactly where the sounds were coming from.
Tessa listened carefully to the desperate meows. Once Karla let her off the leash, the pup dashed toward the bushes and rescued a little kitten they later named Circe. At the time, Circe’s eyes were so matted she couldn’t even open them.
The couple took the kitten to the vet, and after she recovered, they brought her home to care for her. The adorable kitten stole their hearts, and they decided to keep her forever.
Tessa treated Circe like her own baby, and the two became deeply bonded. They were inseparable.

Karla always knew Tessa was incredibly smart, but one of her talents truly surprised her.
After Karla had an accident, she would sometimes faint. Tessa stayed by her side, offering lots of love. The pup was so in tune with her mom that she could predict when Karla was about to pass out.

Karla was amazed because Tessa wasn’t trained to detect changes in a person’s body temperature or heart rate, yet she warned her before she would lose consciousness.
“She would start jumping up on the bed, she’d run to me, jump on the bed, like telling, you need to lay down right now, like, something’s happening,” Karla added.
Tessa’s story shows that some things are meant to be. Karla and her beloved pup were destined to change each other’s lives.
