One night during a thunder storm, Powder sneaked out through the broken screen of the bedroom window of her mommy’s house. Owing to a loud clap of thunder she went right up a long leaf pine right next to her home and got stuck there for 5 whole days before she was rescued by the great folks at RescueMyCat.org.

Poor kitty was scared that it took Patrick more than an hour before he was able to catch her and bring her down to safety. I’d be scared too if I was stuck at the top of a 50 foot tall long leaf pine tree, and hungry to boot. I would certainly miss my family and I’m sure Powder did too and she knew just how sick with worry her mommy was.

Thank goodness for Patrick; he never gave up and was finally able to coax her to come close enough for him to catch her. Having to climb all the way up and wait for the cat to trust him is no joke and tiring work. This is why I truly admire Patrick and everyone who are part of RescueMyCat.org. Share this with other cat lovers and let’s continue to support organizations like this! 🙂
