When it comes to tortoises, their diet usually consists of leafy greens, fresh veggies, and the occasional piece of fruit. A mix of these healthy foods keeps them happy and well-fed. But sometimes, a tortoise might have a taste for things that definitely aren’t on the menu.

Juno, a small tortoise with a huge personality, is one of those little creatures who just can’t resist trying to eat everything in sight. His curious taste buds led his owner to create a hilarious rating system based on all the strange, non-edible objects Juno has attempted to snack on.

Juno’s Unusual Taste Test Adventures

The first item on Juno’s odd food list was a MacBook. Yes, you read that right. Juno decided that the taskbar button looked way too tempting to ignore. After giving it a good nibble, his owner awarded this attempt a solid 8 out of 10. Despite always having access to proper tortoise-friendly foods, Juno seems to prefer exploring “forbidden snacks.”

Visitors at Juno’s home are not safe either. If you’re a guest, don’t be surprised if Juno heads straight for your toes. This behavior is so iconic that his owner rated it 12 out of 10, calling it absolutely legendary. Following this toe obsession, Juno also tried his luck with a fake banana. Now, this one ended up in the “pretty stupid” category and got a 3 out of 10. But honestly, considering that bananas are fruit, you can’t really blame the little guy for giving it a try!

A picture even captures the moment Juno attempts to munch on that fake banana, looking just as determined as ever.

From Cat Toes to Amazon Boxes: Juno’s Wild Taste Journey

You’d think a tortoise might be interested in stealing a bite of the cat’s food. But not Juno. Instead, he went straight for the cat’s plate, earning a 7 out of 10 on the snack scale. But things got riskier when Juno decided to try tasting the cat’s toes. Even though the cat didn’t seem to mind too much, it’s easy to imagine the cat’s sharp claws—aka “murder mittens”—making a surprise appearance if Juno pushed his luck. That wild attempt was considered too dangerous to rate.

Juno’s food adventures didn’t stop there. After an Amazon delivery arrived, the little tortoise found the box and gave it a taste. Turns out, cardboard wasn’t too exciting. The box only scored a 2 out of 10—definitely not one of Juno’s favorites.
