Cats are full of surprises, and when it comes to cat shows, judges know to expect the unexpected. But nothing could have prepared one judge for what happened when two young, hairless kittens made their debut at a recent event. These kittens belonged to SilkySmoothSphynxCats, a breeder known for their adorable Sphynx cats. One of the kittens, named Ice Cream, decided to get a little creative when it came to winning hearts—and maybe even some extra points.

In a video that has gone viral, Ice Cream is seen giving one of the judges a lot of love and affection. The judge, staying professional as best she could, tried not to react too much, but it was clear the kitten’s charm was hard to resist. The event was held by the Cat Fancier’s Association (CFA), and viewers on TikTok had a lot to say about it. Many joked that Ice Cream was using underhanded tactics to win, leaving comments like “Corruption!!” with laughing emojis.

Another attendee at the show posted the video, and it didn’t take long for the kitten’s owner to spot her lovable fur baby. SilkySmoothSphynxCats commented on the post, confirming the identity of the cuddly star.

Sphynx Cats: A Unique and Loving Breed

Hairless cats are still considered a relatively new addition to the cat show scene. The very first one was born back in 1966 in Toronto, Canada, to a regular household cat. The kitten’s baldness came from a rare recessive gene. Over the next few decades, breeders worked to develop what we now know as the Sphynx. In fact, it’s the first official Canadian cat breed. The Cat Fancier’s Association began registering Sphynx cats in 1998, and by 2002, they were allowed to compete for Championship titles.

What makes these cats so different—besides their lack of fur—is their personality. Sphynx cats are known for being friendly, outgoing, and deeply connected to their humans. They don’t just look like something from outer space with their big ears, sleek heads, and long necks—they act a bit like little aliens too, always curious and full of energy. Their skin feels soft, like suede, and their large lemon-shaped eyes give them a wise, expressive look.

Living With a Sphynx: What to Expect

If you’re thinking about getting a Sphynx, be ready for a cat that talks a lot and demands attention. They’re not the quiet type and love being the center of your world. Because they don’t have fur to keep them warm, they rely on snuggling up to their humans to stay cozy. That’s why they’re known as little heat-seeking cuddle bugs.

These cats really don’t enjoy being alone. It’s often recommended to keep them in pairs so they have company when you’re not around. They’re great with kids too, as long as they’re handled gently.

For those who can’t get enough of these charming, bald beauties, you can find more cute and funny videos on the TikTok page of SilkySmoothSphynxCats. Whether you’re a cat lover or just someone who enjoys a good laugh, Ice Cream and friends are sure to win you over.
