Some people tend to categorize animal lovers as either “cat people” or “dog people,” as if one can’t adore both. However, many individuals have a soft spot for both furry companions. Yet, when it comes down to picking a single pet, some believe they need to choose between the two. But do they really?

Surprisingly, there’s one pet that seems to combine the best features of both cats and dogs, offering a unique mix that catches everyone off guard. This peculiar little fellow looks like a mix between a dog, a cat, and maybe even a fox!

Meet Dúi, the internet sensation from Vietnam. At first glance, he might leave you puzzled with his dog-like face on a cat-like body, causing people online to debate over his true identity. Depending on the photo, he can appear to switch between looking like a dog and a cat.

One Reddit user humorously remarked, “Do you want a cat or a dog? YES.” Another person commented that he resembles “a Corgi mixed with a British short hair cat.”

However, Dúi is indeed a dog. His distinctive appearance is the result of being a cross between two rare breeds: a native Hmong dog and a short-legged dog known as a Dingo. His owner, Hai Anh, shared with The Dodo, “But I think he might have a gene mutation too.”

Along with his unique look, Dúi is known for his funny and quirky expressions that only add to his charm.

With his oddball personality and cute appearance, it’s no surprise that Dúi has captured the hearts of people far and wide. In just five days, his fan page on Facebook gained over 40,000 likes, and his fan base continues to grow rapidly. Today, he has more than 232,000 followers worldwide, a testament to his widespread appeal.

Sadly, this seems to have been a disturbing pattern that must be addressed. To protect future animals and provide him with the support he needs, he must be banned from ever owning animals again and undergo mandatory counseling.

Even with his fame, Dúi remains a happy and playful dog. His owner told Bored Panda, “He enjoys playing with both humans and other dogs. He’s really sweet and funny.”

Dúi’s fame is a reminder that sometimes, the most unique creatures can bring together the best of both worlds.
