One such moment came when the rescue group Hope for Paws got a call about a pregnant pit bull living alone and struggling. Without wasting a second, two rescuers, JoAnn Wiltz and Katie McKittrick, rushed out to help the poor dog.

The rescuers continued the breakfast theme while naming the tiny pups. Each little one got a cute name—Pancakes, Sausage, and Beignet (a sweet breakfast doughnut). The other three were called Doughnut, Hashbrown, and Croissant. Watching Waffles cuddle and care for her babies was truly heartwarming—just like enjoying a cozy breakfast on a chilly morning.
None of this would have been possible if that thoughtful neighbor hadn’t made the call or if Hope for Paws didn’t exist. It’s a reminder of how important animal rescue groups are and why they need support. Without them, dogs like Waffles could be left to face the world alone.
