Cats are known for being fiercely protective of their belongings—it’s almost like they have a strong sense of ownership! If you’re a cat owner with multiple feline friends, you’ve probably witnessed firsthand how particular they can be about having their own space and things, such as separate litter boxes, food bowls, and water dishes.

So, when a wild possum decided to barge in on one cat’s dinner, the reaction was nothing short of priceless. The cat was completely taken aback, not quite sure how to handle this unexpected guest.

Luckily, the cat’s owner managed to capture the entire incident on camera at just the right moment. The series of photos shared online are nothing short of amazing. The cat’s confusion and shock are clearly visible, and her reactions are absolutely hilarious!

“Are you lost, pal?”

These photos were posted on Imgur back in March 2018, and they quickly went viral, racking up over 47,000 views! When you take a look at them, you’ll understand why—they’re a perfect snapshot of a totally unexpected encounter.

In the first photo, the possum is seen sitting near the cat’s food bowl, while the cat watches cautiously from the doorway. It’s clear that the possum has only just arrived on the scene, and the poor cat looks utterly bewildered, not knowing what to do next. So, she opts to just sit there, hoping that the possum might leave on its own.

“Excuse me, that’s actually MY dinner.”

The situation escalates when the possum starts munching on the cat’s food. The cat’s expression changes to one of sheer desperation as she glances over at her human, silently pleading for help. She clearly wants her dinner back, but not if it means confronting this strange intruder!

“Umm. A little help, please.”

As the possum continues to enjoy the meal, the cat decides that enough is enough—it’s time to take action. She presses her face against the window, giving her human the most desperate look she can muster, practically begging for assistance. But instead of stepping in, the human can’t help but laugh at the situation. Typical human behavior!

Her Life and Her Kittens’ Lives Were Thrown Away

A heavily pregnant calico cat was abandoned in a plastic bin bag, left to die alone and in agony. Tragically, the cat went into labor before she passed, but none of her kittens survived. Sign this petition to urge authorities to investigate this heartless act!

“You see, there’s been a mistake—you accidentally gave MY dinner to this imposter.”

Realizing that her pleading looks aren’t going to get her anywhere, the cat decides it’s time to be brave and deal with the situation herself.
