At Lollypop Farm in Fairport, New York, a 4-year-old black and white cat named Moxy stands out among the rest. He’s a strikingly handsome cat known for his fluffy coat and a knack for playful mischief. According to Lollypop Farm, Moxy tends to become overstimulated, which can lead to somewhat rough play. Before arriving at the shelter, he enjoyed his days bird-watching and lounging solo, occasionally seeking out some affection. In early May, Moxy was given his own space at the shelter, and he has been on the lookout for a permanent home ever since.

The cat quickly endeared himself to the shelter staff, actively seeking attention from anyone passing by his glass window. When Moxy makes eye contact with a visitor, he doesn’t hesitate to vocalize his need for interaction, charming them with his meows. Moxy has a particular way of showing affection. He enjoys lap-sitting, receiving cheek rubs, exploring his surroundings, munching on cat grass, and sometimes even sticks out his tongue adorably.

An adept people-watcher, Moxy has devised a unique method to capture the attention of passersby. He performs what the staff calls his “signature dance” by the window, waving his paws and swaying from side to side. The intensity of his dance increases with his desire, and it never fails to earn him some treats from the staff.

When allowed out of his condo, Moxy enjoys frolicking in the hallway, where he shares his affection with staff and visitors alike. His morning routine includes a charming performance during breakfast that endears him to all. After more than two months of waiting, Moxy is eager to find his forever home, dreaming of a sunny window for bird-watching and a cat tree to call his own. Lollypop Farm hopes to find a cat-savvy owner who appreciates Moxy’s unique personality.

Moxy continues to engage with everyone he meets, confident that the right family will come for him soon. Until that day, he remains patient yet insistent on receiving the pampering he loves from the shelter staff. Play the video below to see Moxy dance his tail off!
