Guy Spots A ‘Sad Stray Cat’ Sitting On Cardboard With Comical Note

| October 29, 2024

Recently, Reddit user ‘Frameset’ had an amusing encounter while passing by a grocery store in Liverpool, England. He noticed a black-and-white cat nestled in a dirt patch near the side of the building, looking as though she had nowhere else to go. At first glance, she seemed like a stray who was hungry and in need of a little kindness. But things were not quite what they appeared—and a curious note beside her revealed the full story.

When Frameset approached for a closer look, he saw that the cat wasn’t just lying on the ground. She had arranged herself on a makeshift bed of cardboard. One of the cardboard pieces contained a handwritten message, which shed some light on the cat’s true situation.

The note read: “Please do not feed the black and white cat. My name is Lili and I have a home on Kenyon [the next street over]. I am an actress! I like attention! I like food! It is very kind of you, but please stop feeding me, because I will spend less time at home. Thank you.”

“She’s very friendly,” one user commented. “But I think half the problem is she sits in places that make it look like she needs help.”

Just no snacks, please—Lili’s already well-fed and knows exactly how to play her part.

Others, amused by the situation, contributed comments as well. One said, “If that cat could read, she’d be very upset.”
