There’s few things that we love more than a rescue story with a happy ending!

These kittens were found in the narrow space between two walls, living in the pile of garbage that had accumulated there. They weren’t likely to be spotted in such a tiny space with such high walls, but luckily someone saw them and called Hope For Paws!

Hope For Paws is a non-profit animal rescue in California dedicated to rescuing abused pets and strays. They’re available 24/7 to take calls from concerned citizens who spot animals in need. Not only do they rescue pets, they clean them up, give them whatever medical care they may need, and either return them to their homes or help them find new ones! Their YouTube channel has hundreds of videos – each one about a pet who was taken from a bad situation and given a loving family!

Most rescues require patience, and perhaps a little trickery to save a life, but Hope For Paws has nearly perfected their rescue strategy, and were able to collect all the kittens in almost no time! This particular rescue required some physical skill and a lot of care – the responding rescuers had to climb over a wall with barbed wire at the top and dig through a sea of trash, but thanks to the use of a heavy shipping blanket and gloves, they managed it without any injury!

Thanks to this rescue and it’s supporters, these kittens are no longer living in a pile of cardboard and beer cans! It just proves that there’s no length good people wouldn’t go to so pets like these can find homes where they’ll be loved! What’s a little garbage and barbed wire when it comes to making sure these kittens were safe?

If you find pets like these who need help, be sure to contact your local rescue or authorities rather than attempting to trespass or risk hurting yourself or the animals!
