Shelters do their very best to care for as many animals as possible with limited resources.

Often, their facilities have concrete floors, which are inexpensive to maintain and easy to clean. The downside, though, is that these cold, hard floors aren’t comfortable for pets to sleep on.

Although most places have blankets or mats, there’s nothing like a nice, warm bed…

That’s why IKEA Canada came up with an idea for the kitties being housed at the Etobicoke Humane Society (EHS) in Toronto, Ontario. The furniture conglomerate decided to donate 10 Duktig doll beds to the shelter – the purrfect size for a sleepy cat (or even a small dog)!

“Our floors are easy to clean but not terribly comfortable to lay on,” writes EHS on Facebook. “Now cats like Catsby and Frankie have beds of their own to curl up in.”

The organization writes that IKEA also donated $300 to help with care.

It looks like these felines are enjoying their new furniture!

Thanks to IKEA for thinking outside the box and using their resources to help homeless pets in need!
