Lady’s Trip Becomes A ‘Rescue Mission’ When Sick Kitten Appears At Her Feet

| January 21, 2025

There’s nothing more heartbreaking than finding an animal in distress. At the same time, it’s incredibly heartwarming to see them transform into healthy, vibrant creatures, all because a kind person found them, cared for, and loved them. That is exactly what happened to a tiny kitten named Genevieve. The little one was found by a lady at the park. She was in terrible shape and desperately needed to be nursed back to health. The woman picked up the kitten and brought her to a good friend named Shannon.

Genevieve was finally in capable hands. Shannon decided to foster her and help her heal. It was as if the kitten understood Shannon’s heartfelt desires immediately! Even though she was unwell, she began to purr for her new foster mom. It was proof that Genevieve was happy despite her circumstances.

Shannon started Genevieve on antibiotics and dewormer. She also treated Genevieve’s eyes, which were in terrible shape. They filled with tears constantly, making it hard for Genevieve to see. Genevieve’s breathing was also labored, so Shannon set up a humidifier nearby. It made a huge difference!

A trip to the vet proved successful. He gave Genevieve stronger antibiotic drops for her eyes and treatment for her cold. Soon, the kitten was eating regularly and playing. It was miraculous! Before long, the little one completely recovered. Shannon began looking for a family for Genevieve that would appreciate and love her as she deserved.

How did a woman in New Jersey accumulate 47 animals - which she then neglected horrendously - after she had already been found guilty of abuse against 99 animals in Pennsylvania? Sign the petition to ban her from ever owning or living with animals in the future!

It didn’t take long at all! A family stepped forward to meet Genevieve and it was love at first sight. The little kitten who was all alone at a park and battling significant health issues now had a forever home. We are so grateful for Genevieve’s rescue and recovery. Thank you to the kind lady who found her, and of course, Shannon, for helping Genevieve heal.
