Kitty Doesn’t ‘Appreciate’ Dog In His Space And Considers Her The Frenemy

| July 20, 2023

Cat lovers understand that each kitty is unique and requires specific finesse to give and receive affection. King is a beautiful feline who is no exception! His mom and her cousin get together as often as they can. King welcomes his human friend but doesn’t like her dog, Scout. Well, at least, at first.

Their ‘frenemy’ relationship began years ago when the Aussie dared to enter King’s home. The kitty didn’t appreciate Scout’s off-the-wall energy. The dog didn’t ‘respect’ King’s space, and he’d hiss at her so she would back off. But Scout persisted.

The pup knew, deep down, that she could gain King’s trust. She even hoped one day he’d love her back. That was certainly a tall order! It took several days for the pup to convince King she’s worthy of his friendship. He finally gave in, even lying beside her in bed.

Hilariously, the cat’s memory isn’t so good! The cousins get together 3-4 times a year, and Scout has to start all over again with King. The cat rejects the dog, the dog works tirelessly until he gives in, then the two are as close as can be.

The dog’s tenacity should be commended, but the cat’s unwillingness to surrender easily is the best part of this adorable story! See for yourself in the video below!
