House Cat Left By Owners Tries To Find Love By Going Door To Door

| October 11, 2024

Jupiter, once cherished as a pet, faced the ultimate betrayal when his owners callously abandoned him during their move four years ago. Left to navigate the world on his own, this domesticated cat was thrust into an unfamiliar and harsh reality, forced to learn survival skills that were alien to his nature as a household companion. His struggle did not go unnoticed, however. Cats of San Bernardino, a dedicated rescue group, came across a poignant plea for help on Instagram, detailing how Jupiter persistently sought refuge in someone’s home.

The message was clear: “This cat keeps trying to come into our house.” It painted a vivid picture of Jupiter’s desperate yearning for the comfort and security of a loving home environment, a stark contrast to the uncertainty and dangers of fending for himself outdoors. This plea on social media underscored Jupiter’s innate desire to return to a life where he was warm, safe, and cared for, highlighting the resilience and enduring hope of an animal in need.

One rescuer, Jaina, said the first thing she noticed when she saw Jupiter were his sad eyes. It broke her heart. How can anyone leave their pet behind like this? It’s unfathomable! Now it was time for Jupiter’s rescue. Once he was safely in a crate, they noticed the kitty was pretty beaten up. Being a house cat, he couldn’t compete with feral felines.

Neighbors told the rescuers that Jupiter liked to tend to kittens while on the streets. They decided to put rescue kittens in Jupiter’s bed to see how he’d respond. Jupiter’s reaction is too cat-tastic to miss! To meet Jupiter and see how the story turns out, check out the video below.
