In the wild, when cats see a quick movement across their line of vision, that usually means food. This sparks their interest and lures them into a fast-paced chase to grab themselves a meal. Domesticated cats still have this natural behavior imprinted in their genes, but you will see them reacting to a toy being thrown, or a little bird flying past the glass doors rather than having a fresh dinner feast.
This video shows a house cat playing with his owner and a hanging toy, bringing out his inner lion! He is going to catch that toy, even if he has to sit on his butt all day. This is one determined kitty cat.
