Earlier in the year, refugee Fayrouz Kashmar left Syria with her family. It took months, however, before she was able to get her cat. Finally, after being apart for 7 months, Fayrouz and Mela the cat were finally reunited in Granesberg, Sweden. Through her interpreter, she said that now that she has her beloved cat back, “nothing else matters!”

When love is involved, nothing is ever impossible to achieve. Despite the language barrier and being in a foreign country, this wouldn’t deter the determination and fighting spirit for one woman to be reunited with her beloved feline friend. Despite the horrors that she and her family must have gone through, she still found the time to track down her Mela so that she could be with her family. Now that’s truly awesome!
