Cats are known for their independent streaks. They have their own unique ways of letting us know when they want to be left alone and when they crave our attention. When the latter occurs, they aren’t shy about making it clear. They might meow persistently or jump onto our keyboards while we’re trying to work. In one particular instance, a stray cat took this attention-seeking behavior to new heights by interrupting a live news report.

TV journalist Artur Lira was in the midst of reporting a serious story when an unexpected visitor—a stray cat—decided to steal the spotlight. The feline’s antics quickly diverted attention away from the news segment. Artur found the interruption amusing and shared the delightful moment on his Facebook page.

The incident occurred while Artur was reporting on an arrest. The stray cat, seeking affection, began rubbing against his legs, prompting Artur to break into laughter. The cat’s persistent meowing and demands for attention were impossible to ignore. Artur obliged, petting the cat, who responded by nudging Artur’s hand with his head. However, whenever Artur attempted to resume his report, the cat demanded more attention.

In another scene, as Artur stood behind a police truck ready to continue his report, the same stray cat reappeared, popping his head out comically and causing Artur to burst into laughter once more. Artur shared the amusing video on Facebook, captioning it:

“That time you’re recording the text and feel a cat passing between your legs But he was so cute that he can’t even feel angry. Have you ever thought about going live? And when I moved he went there too. I think this cat wanted to be famous.”

The video quickly went viral, garnering over 2.4k reactions and hundreds of comments and shares. Viewers were curious about the stray cat’s fate, with one person suggesting, “Adopt the cat,” and another joking, “Congratulations, you now have a cat!”

The response was so overwhelming that Artur posted a follow-up with good news. The stray cat, who frequently hung around the police station where officers would feed him, had found a forever home. Artur named the cat Frajola Delegato and arranged for his aunt to adopt him.

“WE HAD A HAPPY ENDING!!! Everyone was sad because my mom can’t adopt the cat. And as I said, I understand her decision and in a way I agree. But my aunt Neide decided to stay with Frajola. I’m very happy because he’s staying in our family. My aunt lives near my house so I always visit him. Today at the beginning of the night I picked him up at the police station, bought food, snacks, silverware, collar and took him to my aunt’s house. There’s a big garden and space for him to run and play. Tomorrow I’m taking him to spay, get shots and give him a bath. I’m very happy and I know you guys too. Now our DeleGato has a home to receive even more love and affection,” Artur wrote on Facebook.

How did a woman in New Jersey accumulate 47 animals - which she then neglected horrendously - after she had already been found guilty of abuse against 99 animals in Pennsylvania? Sign the petition to ban her from ever owning or living with animals in the future!

We are thrilled that Frajola found such a loving home. This smart cat certainly knew who to approach
